OUR STORY
The Georgetown Journey
Smart Woman Securities is a national organization with 30 chapters across the country. The original chapter began at Harvard in 2006. Nationally known investors, like Warren Buffett, have since supported and sponsored the SWS program.

The Georgetown chapter quickly followed, forming in 2011. As a club within the McDonough School of Business, SWS Georgetown has provided an outlet for women to pursue their interest in finance, a normally male-dominated space. The Georgetown chapter partakes in all national programming and events, which includes corporate treks and investor summits. We also conduct our own programming unique to the common career paths and desires of Georgetown's undergraduate female population.

Today, we have over 100 members from all different majors, years, and backgrounds. The SWS Georgetown family is happy to represent the national organization on the Hilltop and beyond.
